Highlights of Oman, the UAE, Jordan and Egypt are included on this cruise from Mumbai to Piraeus (Athens). Leaving India, we spend two days crossing the Arabian Sea before touching terra firma at Khasab, Oman, with its surprising landscape of fjords. Our next two stops are Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where retail opportunities are (almost) endless. Fujairah is our final UAE port before we return to Oman to see Muscat, the capital, and lush, green Salalah, where frankincense is harvested. Fabulous sightseeing just keeps coming on this voyage. Three days at sea deliver us to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, then Aqaba in Jordan and the ancient rose-hued city of Petra. Next, we make for the Egyptian coast and Safaga, gateway to Luxor, home of the tomb of Tutankhamun. Onwards, we sail through the Suez Canal to Alexandria, where a lighthouse once stood that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World, before we reach our final destination, Athens.
